Transit operators understand that
informed passengers are content passengers. And transSpot knows
that passengers have real expectations when it comes to receiving
valuable ride information. transSpot provides continuously
updated location and time based ride information in an
easy-to-understand, audio-visual format.
High-definition LCD monitors display
stop information, which is broadcast clearly over the vehicle’s
speakers.
All the stops on a particular route
are displayed, while current and upcoming stops are highlighted on a
special screen. Next to select stops, landmark information is
displayed on the monitors to aid passengers in recognizing their
appropriate stop.
In addition, transSpot displays
up-to-the-minute arrival times for all stops. transSpot provides
real-time traffic updates to let you know if a bus is running late,
or even ahead of schedule.
transSpot also provides news and
weather updates, in addition to messages from the transit operator.
At the request of a transit operator,
transSpot can enable WiFi internet access on the bus. Depending on
the operator, WiFi may be a free or on-demand service that enables
passengers to get work done, or surf the web during a ride.
In addition, for passengers who wish
to close the eyes and catch up on some sleep on the bus, transSpot
enables SMS wake-up messages to your cell phone before you arrive at
your destination.
transSpot
also provides services for those who have yet to board the bus. Click
